The trips we went with Grandma and Grandpa
Dan took a few days off to spend with my grandparents. We were able to borrow a friends van so we would all fit in the car. Our first stop was Annapolis. This is were I was able to meet Michael, Gail and their son Leland. They are my grandma's 2nd cousin (michael) so that makes me his 4th cousin. Michael grow up in Annapolis so he should us around town and took us out to dinner. Because they live their they were able to take us on to the NAval base. This was really cool. They should us the Jewish Hall.
Next day we went to York town. While down there we stayed the night at a hotel so we could go to Jamestown early in the morning (since it was going to be 94 degrees that day). It was fun to see the sights and enjoy being with my grandparents. while were in Williamsburg we came across Camp peary. My grandpa had boot camp there. So we went to check it out, before heading home. Camp Peary is something very private, not sure what, but their were tons of signs saying do not enter, no public allowed, but we went to the gate anyway. So the men were nice at the gate, told us their was a memorial by the first gate, Which there was but it was inside another gate. Dan got out to take pictures as one of the military workers drove by, they stopped and said it is not a good idea to take pictures around here. When we got home we asked our military friends and they said very little about this place, so it must be CIA, that is how you know around here what is what.
