Welcome home our soon to be kindergartener

Our family at graduation
Great grand ma and great grandpa at Taryn's graduation. (this was their first preschool graduation they have ever attended, I'm so glad they came)

I decided I wanted every year of the last day of school to be special. So I'm starting with Pre-K. Taryn came home from school to find balloons, flowers, a card and a really cool cupcake my friend made for her. (it is a pink and purple fish). I thought it would be great to give her some money, cuz she has wanted to buy something at the store the last few times she has gone with me. I wanted her to feel very important, since she was very sad to done with preschool.

She was excited for the card, and the cupcake and the balloons but she was mostly excited that she got flowers, (which were fake and they were only $1).

My idea is to give her a little something every last day of school and always include a card with money. I hope this helps prevent any sadness to come from the last day of school.

How does it feel to attend graduation for your own child? Cute picture.

Sadness on the last day of school? Britta just finished kindergarten and was thrilled to be on summer vacation. She loved school this year, but did not shed a tear when I told her it was the last day of school. I love your idea of making the last day of school special though!
