Is it okay to stay up late?
Taryn didn't want to go to bed tonight. Just so you know her bed time is 7 pm along with Meg. So I got Meg in bed and I went to help Taryn great ready. I'm trying to pick my battles lately because Dan says we are all to stubborn. So I told Taryn if she does not want to go to bed she would have to help mommy (me) with her chores. (which I was going to totally blow off for another day.) So she started to empty the dishwasher and Meg woke, so I told her to keep doing it and I will return when I take care of Meg. So I returned, to help finishes the dishes. So I started to think what else could we do? So we picked up, cleaned up and I had nothing else I could think to do. So I asked her to make some cards we needed to send. She got one done and then fell asleep in the middle of making the other. I took here to bed only 2 hours late. So am I wrong to let here stay up? I'm thinking no, she helped motivate me to get stuff done. (I know I will pay for it tomorrow) oh well!

Well, we are a bunch of night owls here...so I have no problem allowing Clark to stay up.
My kids are younger, but I think every once in awhile they need some one on one time like that.
Good advice I got was not to do something 3 times in a row, unless you want to make it a habit. I don't think there's anything wrong with letting her stay up on occasion and making her feel big and helpful! Just don't do it consecutively! Sounds like the two of you had fun!
