National book Festival 2010

So we have lived in DC for too long, and I'm finally getting around to going to the National Book Festival. What really got me there was an author I read most of his first series, The sisters grimm. Michael Buckley is a pre-teen children's book writer. The funny thing about this is that I have been making fun of my sister about her crazy love for a certain series, (it will remain nameless) and so when I went to See this author, I was thinking I was a bit crazy like her. But then I thought about it, I'm not, I do not own a single book of his, I did not vacation at the location of the book and hang out with people that are dressed up like the book characters. So I'm not crazy to go see the author speak about his books. But I have to say I really wanted to ask him some questions, but didn't want to stand in line with all the 8-12 year kids.
I learned a bunch about the author, and now know why Dan, myself and Taryn enjoyed the Sisters grimm series. To remember this experience I took a picture of the author.

I do love my sister. I think it is great that she can get way into a book. I have to say I did enjoy watching the movies of the book series she read, but did not enjoy reading the first book, so stopped reading them. ( I use the word crazy in this meaning: someone that is so cool I really want to be like them. hehehe)

I love the Sisters Grimm, too! Glad to find a fellow fan. Wish I could have gone to see him, but I wasn't up to it that day. Glad you got to go!
